The people behind CoachMate
Alonso Tafur is a chess enthusiast. Rodrigo Del Castillo is a chess coach with global experience. Their shared focus is the practical work around a lesson: preparing positions, bringing students into the right room and reviewing what they played.
Built around the coach and the class
Students join through private links without creating their own accounts. The coach manages the roster and teaching materials. Solo brings live classes, tournaments and simuls into the same workspace, with limits designed around one coach and one active room.
Free preparation tools let you build lessons and organise your students before choosing the live features you need. The public FAQ explains the distinction between free tools and Solo.
A community connected by chess
Bring your students together for private tournaments, live lessons and simuls. Discover how CoachMate has connected players representing 26 nationalities across 16 tournaments and 569 games.

Understand the service before joining
Read the plans and FAQ before opening a live room. Student links are private access links, and student information is still handled even when no student account is required.
