16 tournaments. 569 games. A shared love of chess.

Players representing 26 nationalities have come together in a series of Worldschooling, international and community tournaments on CoachMate. Across 16 tournaments and 569 games, the chessboard has given them a place to meet, compete and share their love of the game.

Bring that experience to your own students. A private tournament can give your group an occasion to look forward to, and your next lesson a game worth talking about.

Make joining the easiest part

Send your students their private links. They open the board in a browser, with no student accounts or app downloads. You keep invitations, your roster and activities together in your coaching workspace.

Whether you teach a local group or a community on the move, CoachMate gives your students a familiar place to return to for chess.

Give every game a place in your teaching

Run a private tournament, challenge your group to a simul or explore a position in a live class. CoachMate brings these activities together so you can shape the experience around your students.

  • Choose Swiss, round-robin or knockout tournaments for your group.
  • Follow games as they happen and keep track of results.
  • Bring a memorable position into your next lesson.

Built by people who care about chess

CoachMate was created by Alonso Tafur, a chess enthusiast, and Rodrigo Del Castillo, a chess coach with global experience. It brings the work of an independent coach into one space: preparing lessons, welcoming students and running activities that give them a reason to get back to the board.

Bring your chess community together

Create your free workspace, add your students and prepare your first lesson. When you are ready for live classes and simuls, Solo brings those tools into the same space.

Your next chapter starts with your students and a chessboard. Give them a place to play with CoachMate.
